I highly recommend this activity to anyone who wants a magical experience with their kids and/or loved ones. We were greeted by Emanuel with a smile and welcomed abroad the train car and that just lit up my 20 year old nonverbal son with autism’s face from ear to ear. There was no waiting around. We had a brief introduction from Zach who was friendly and kind and informative about the stops along the route. Mike got us all settled into our seats, offered us some candy, and off we went! We traveled down a 6 mile stretch of railway in our seats using the bike pedals. You could go as slow or as fast as each of us could manage. There was a bathroom break and 2 breaks so it was broken up to give us a rest along the way. The fall colors were beautiful and the scenery was breathtaking! I can’t say enough about how nice and friendly and kind Mike, Emanuel, and Zach were from start to finish! If you want a wonderful, outdoor activity, you have got to try this one❤️

Disorganized, unsafe, and not worth it — for workers or customers.

From the start, this job was a mess. No one gave clear directions. I drove out of my way twice — once for the interview and again on my first day — because no one told me the correct location. Even when I arrived, I had no idea where to go.

There is no parking anywhere near the starting point. You’ll have to walk 10–15 minutes just to begin your shift, often in direct sun with no shade and nowhere to sit. Water is left in the heat, so you’re drinking warm water while lifting and pushing carts that weigh hundreds of pounds — all for $17 an hour.

Customers should know too: the equipment is old and rusted. One day, a battery fell out of a cart, causing another cart to crash. A child fell out and was hurt — cuts and bruises. Another time, a senior couple couldn’t even operate their cart because the chains were rusted. We had to push them ourselves. This is marketed as a fun activity, but the equipment isn’t maintained and it’s not safe.

Overall, this place has zero organization, poor management, unsafe equipment, and no regard for employee rights. Whether you’re thinking about working here or booking a tour, think twice

Went to the Berlin location and did the shorter trip. It was really fun! Total trip was 6 miles, 3 one way, and then they stop to turn around the rail bikes and you head back the 3 miles. The ride goes through corn fields and a bit of forest, so it is a nice outdoor adventure. We rented a rail bike for 4 people and we all really enjoyed it.
There is very little shade the whole trip, so definitely bring sunscreen and a hat!
