Since 1986, Malibu’s Surf Shop has been providing customers, friends, and family
with all of your surfing needs. Originally located in Potomac, MD, Malibu’s
current boardwalk location in Ocean City offers everything that you would need
in the surfing world. Though small in size, we pride ourselves in our surfboard
selection, clothing, and accessories. All of our surfboards are hand shaped with
no overseas factory production, making each board a unique work of art as well
as a great addition to any quiver.
During the summer, Malibu’s offers private surfing lessons, stand-up paddleboard tours and surfboard rentals to people of all ages and
skill levels. If you are comfortable in the water and want to learn, we’ll take
care of you! We have been offering lessons since 1993 and continue to schedule
them in the mornings and afternoons all summer. In addition, we have started
offering stand-up paddleboard tours so check out our lessons page for all the
details!

The moment you walk into this establishment you know that you’re dealing with people who know what they’re doing and who are in it for more than just selling you stuff… the staff greeted us with genuine friendliness and human interest and you could tell immediately that you’re dealing with inherently good people, people with integrity… thank you for taking the time to have a real conversation with me and my son despite your busy store… this is what life is all about, little moments of real human connection… thank you gentlemen…

Absolutely amazing experience. My 2 young daughters wanted to learn to surf. I found Malibu's Surf Shop online and saw the great reviews. Met with Lee and introduced him to my daughters. He set us up with Pat and Wade as instructors. My girls had an absolutely amazing time. Pat and Wade were patient and fun but very safe. It was just an outstanding experience. As my girls learn and eventually need their own boards and equipment, we will be going to Lee at Malibu's. I rarely leave reviews but this place was outstanding. If I could leave 10 stars I would.

Great surf shop on the boardwalk - Awesome & friendly staff, quality merchandise, and laidback atmosphere. I went in looking for big boy sized shirts (3XL - 4XL). The lady there was super helpful and brought me all the bigger sizes they had. So many dope boards, art, hats & shirts. One of the best & friendliest surf shop I’ve been to on the east coast! Everyone inside was so helpful & nice... Thank you for shops like yours!!
