Barrio Taco

I wasn't overly impressed with my experience. My youngest got a kids quesadilla. They don't have flour tortillas and she immediately noticed the taste difference from what she was used to. I pulled the top half off and she begrudgingly ate it. She got fries instead of rice. Fries were awesome. My oldest daughter chose to order BBQ. I had a bowl with the al pastor. I felt the meat had a great flavor and felt, in proportion with the bowl size, it was a good amount of meat. Definitely wasn't worth $17, though, and probably half the amount overall that I'm used to receiving at most restaurants. My husband got 2 tacos. They were described to him as being full size, but were slightly bigger than a street taco. He liked the meats he chose but didn't like the shells. We all liked the chips and salsa. Overall, we just felt the portion sizes didn't justify the cost and we aren't likely to return because of that. The food itself was just okay, therefore we would try other options rather than giving them a second try. The place and bathroom were clean. Dine in area seemed spacious.

The location is within a shopping center. You are able to find parking on the front, side, or back of the building. You may entere from the front or back of the location.
When we entered it was painters and construction men in the restaurant. Windows being painted while others have tools and electrical lines in the floor.
We did received a welcome intro by several employees and we were asked if this was to be in dinning or takeout. We had to dine in since it was our last meal in OC before heading home. The places only had us and another couple that came in after us. I did notice they had a few people at the bar. Our waiter was wonderful and was prompt to take our drinks and order.
The food is $$ but it doesn't lack flavor. One taco is a little over $6.
We loved the tamales the best.
The restrooms are kept cleaned a stocked.
The decor is unique and we enjoyed the restaurant.

Barrio Taco is amazing. Great vibes, great staff, shout out to Claire for the recommendations for my lunch. She works at Barrio and Annabelle's next door and is the best. I asked what she recommended and she did not disappoint. I got the Horchata to drink which was amazing. She recommended the Al Pastor taco and the Quesabirra taco. The pineapple cilantro salsa with the Al Pastor taco was amazing but I have to say the Birra Consume was the best to dip in and sip from the cup. After eating my tacos I had to go back inside for dessert and I never get dessert.
I got the Tres Leches Cake and when I tell you it is the best I've ever had it was the best I've ever had. It was so delicious and milky. Everything you want from a dessert. It is huge too so be prepared to either I dulge yourself or share and be best friends with that person for life.
They have cute outdoor seating and are right in the middle of town so you are never too far away when in Ocean City.
